ABOUT EOS

Founded by Dawn Henley and Fiona Sutton, EOS Counselling & Psychotherapy was created to offer a warm, professional, and human approach to mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Based in Farnham, Surrey, we provide counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples, families, and neurodivergent clients across Guildford, Godalming, Aldershot, and the wider Surrey area. Our goal is to help you explore what’s happening in your life, understand the patterns that hold you back, and find new ways to create balance and connection.

Our services include individual counselling, couples and relationship therapy, psychosexual counselling, and ADHD coaching. Each session is tailored to your personal goals, helping you work through anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or emotional overwhelm in a safe, confidential space.

During therapy, you can expect a supportive, non-judgemental environment where you’ll be guided through evidence-based techniques designed to enhance emotional awareness, resilience, and confidence. This approach helps address immediate concerns while fostering long-term personal growth and wellbeing.

Our Story and Philosophy

The name EOS comes from the Greek goddess of the dawn — a symbol of light, renewal, and new beginnings. We chose this name because it reflects what we strive to offer every client: the possibility of a fresh start, where hope and understanding can re-emerge.

At EOS, therapy is not about fixing you - it’s about helping you rediscover your strengths, values, and sense of direction. We believe in a collaborative, compassionate, and authentic approach, meeting you exactly where you are.

Our ethos is grounded in inclusivity and respect for every person’s individuality. Whether you’re beginning therapy for the first time or returning to continue your personal growth, we’re here to walk alongside you — offering expertise, empathy, and practical support at every step.

Our Approach

We understand that every client’s story is unique. That’s why we use an integrative approach, drawing from leading therapeutic models such as:

  • Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

  • Imago Relationship Therapy

This pluralistic and evidence-based framework allows us to adapt each session to your needs - whether you’re working through anxiety, trauma, grief, depression, or complex relationship dynamics.

Our therapists focus on helping you recognise unhelpful cycles, improve communication, and develop healthier ways to relate to yourself and others.

Meet the Team

Our team of qualified and experienced therapists is accredited with professional bodies including the BACP and NCPS. Each practitioner brings their own specialist training, approach, and personality, so you can find the right therapist to suit your needs and goals.

What unites our team is a shared belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and build stronger relationships. We are committed to ethical, person-centred care and genuine human connection.

how we can support you

Holistic Approach:

We take a holistic approach, considering your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. Counselling, for me, is a journey of self-discovery, growth, and healing. It's a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings.

Building a Strong Relationship:

The foundation of our work is a strong therapeutic relationship. This allows you to share your innermost thoughts and feelings openly. By building trust, I can guide you towards self-discovery and help you establish healthier patterns of thought and behaviour.

Empowering You:

I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore yourself. My goal is to support you in finding your own answers and making positive changes in your life. You are capable of living authentically and achieving fulfilment.

Core Values:

Everyone has a need for connection and self-exploration. We thrive when understood, accepted, and cared for. People are resourceful and can build skills for positive change. Counselling provides a unique space for growth and transformation.

Addressing Underlying Issues:

We will explore the underlying factors that contribute to your current challenges. Sometimes, we lose sight of our needs or get stuck in unhealthy patterns. Therapy can help you refocus on yourself and overcome obstacles.

YOUR JOURNEY:

As your therapist, I facilitate your problem-solving process. You will draw your own conclusions and choose the direction for resolving your issues. Together, we will set goals and develop the self-awareness to achieve them.
