FROM DAWN
Alongside my work with individuals, I also support couples and families through a wide range of relational and emotional challenges. My practice draws on extensive training across multiple therapeutic models, which I integrate to suit each client’s needs.
DBT Skills
I have received specialist training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, an evidence-based approach that teaches practical tools for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills help clients manage overwhelming emotions, reduce unhelpful behaviours, and build stronger, healthier relationships.
Psychosexual Therapy
I have undertaken specialist training in psychosexual therapy and work with individuals and couples around difficulties with intimacy, desire, arousal, or sexual function. Psychosexual work offers a safe and supportive space to explore issues that can feel difficult to talk about. My approach blends psychodynamic depth with practical strategies, helping clients rebuild confidence and create deeper intimacy and connection.
Compulsive Behaviours
I have a specialism in supporting clients who struggle with compulsive behaviours, such as problematic pornography use, online sexual behaviours, or other repetitive patterns that may lead to secrecy, shame, or relationship rupture. Therapy addresses both the underlying emotional drivers and practical strategies for change.
Couples Therapy
I have extensive advanced training in intimate partner therapy, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago Relationship Therapy, and the Gottman Method. I do not take a one-size-fits-all approach; instead, I draw from different models depending on the needs of each couple. For some, therapy means learning new communication skills; for others, it means creating a safe space for difficult emotions or repairing broken trust. My approach is collaborative, adaptive, and designed to help couples strengthen connection, intimacy, and understanding.
Family Therapy
I also work with family relationships, supporting parents and children to improve communication and connection. This includes mother–daughter work and father–son relationships, where patterns across generations can often surface. Family therapy provides a space to understand these dynamics, repair ruptures, and create healthier patterns of relating.
Brief Therapy
In addition to ongoing work, I also offer brief therapy — focused sessions of one to two hours designed to target a specific issue. This approach can be particularly useful when clients want immediate clarity or guidance on a pressing difficulty, or as a “one-off” intervention when longer-term therapy isn’t required.
An Integrated, Collaborative Approach
While I am trained in many evidence-based modalities, I do not work rigidly within one framework. Instead, I integrate approaches to create a collaborative and flexible process, tailored to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family. This allows therapy to feel personal, practical, and effective, with the aim of creating lasting change.
